Flavours of the Varaždin Area

“Flavours of the Varaždin Area” is a quality standard held by 15 hospitality establishments across Varaždin County, guaranteeing authentic local dishes, drinks, and traditional products.

Restaurants in the program offer at least two main dishes from the region’s culinary heritage list throughout the year, along with at least four wines from the Varaždin wine region.

The program includes venues across the county - from Varaždin and Varaždinske Toplice to Ludbreg, Ivanec, Bednja, Novi Marof, and Gornji Kneginec.

It sits on the main Varaždin - Koprivnica road and has its own parking. The house specialty is Drava river catfish steak wrapped in bacon, served amid the vineyards of the Ludbreg area.

The restaurant specializes in dishes made from foal and horse meat prepared according to old family recipes, from boiled sausages to debreceners and “safaladas.”

The hotel has 60 beds, and the kitchen maintains the tradition of the former Grošanić Restaurant and Varaždin's bourgeois cuisine.
