Cycling route Margečan - Gačice - Tužno - Radovan - Pece - Bela - Margečan

We have created a beautiful cycling route Marčegan (Vinbreg) – Gačice – Lukavec – Cerje Tužno – Tužno – Lovrečan – Radovan – Pece - Završje Podbelsko – Bela – Seljanec – Margečan.

The start and finish of this circular route are located at the Vacation Houses in Vinbreg. The route is 21 kilometers long and takes you through enchanting nature and picturesque Zagorje settlements. The trail is not demanding, except for a shorter, steeper ascent near Gačice and on the way back to Vinbreg. If that part is too strenuous, you can always push the bike briefly.

This cycling route is designed for enjoying a ride through the natural beauty of Zagorje. It is primarily intended for guests of Vacation Houses Vinbreg, but all cycling and recreation enthusiasts are welcome.

📍 Route Details:
✔️ The route starts in Margečan, in front of Vacation Houses Vinbreg.
✔️ In Margečan, pass by the church and turn left.
✔️ Immediately after that, there is a watermill that you can visit, as well as a cycling checkpoint where you can pump up your tires or perform minor bike servicing using available tools.
✔️ Continue towards Ivaneč all the way to the signpost and turn towards Gačice.
✔️ In Gačice, turn towards Lukavec. Before Lukavec, you will encounter a long descent.
✔️ From Lukavec, continue through Cerje Tužno and Tužno, then turn towards Lovrečan and Radovan.
✔️ From Radovan, enjoy a pleasant ride to the village of Pece, then proceed to Završje Podbelsko.
✔️ In Završje Podbelsko, turn towards Bela. In Bela, you will find the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Bela I and Bela II castles.
✔️ From Bela, continue towards Seljanec and then back to Margečan.
✔️ The route ends at Vacation Houses Vinbreg.
